Simple Life started as a solo acoustic project called The Sleep Silent Scenario in July 2012. It didn't take long for the project to hit the road for tour in December of 2012 leading into January 2013. The tour included acts such as Bear, The Gentlemen and Forever Mountain and hit several cities from Louisiana to Mississippi, and even Alabama; however, Simple Life's hometown, Metairie, had the greatest turnout. When the tour hit The Cypress in Metairie, LA, fans as far as Hattiesburg came to see us play, despite already having seen us in Hattiesburg the week before.
Continuing the dedication put into the tour, Simple Life released their acoustic EP, "Windy Acres", in August 2013. This EP included the band's most popular song "Molly's Song". To this day, when the band plays this song, the entire crowd sings along. Wanting to be as serious as possible, Simple Life went all the way to The Satellite Studio in Daphne, Alabama to record the EP with professional producer Drew Ray, a large step for a single musician. This EP was released as a professionally made hardcopy jewel-cased CD and is also available electronically via iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, Bandcamp, CDbaby, Bigcartel, etc. This was a huge success in the start of Simple Life.
After releasing Windy Acres, lead guitarist Jeffrey Fisher joined vocalist Zachary Bradshaw to create a more defined Simple Life. After a few months of performing, the duo decided it was time they incorporated the full band in their endeavors. Thus, they added drummer Adam Sauter and bassist Raymond Oller to the band. Together, the four made a huge impression on the local music scene. With four members in the band, Simple Life was able to act more productively in putting out new merch designs and writing new music.
Simple Life is currently recording their debut full-length album, "The Family Tree". The album is nearly complete and is set to be released in early October 2014. The band released their first single off of the album, "Decision & Regret", via YouTube and Bandcamp and have garnered only positive reviews so far. After releasing the full length in October, the band is planning a Winter tour in December/January. This is a dedicated group of individuals seeking to spread their music and follow their dreams professionally and wholeheartedly.
